Mustafa Suleyman, head of Microsoft's AI division, stated in an interview that anything published on the internet is fair game for AI training without needing to pay the creators. Transformers are a type of neural network architecture that have revolutionized the way machines understand and generate human language. Introduced in the paper "Attention is All You Need" in 2017, transformers are designed to handle sequential data, like text, in a way that is parallelizable and therefore significantly faster than previous methods such as recurrent neural networks (RNNs).
